Dining at Alta can mean skiing to one of the mountain cafeterias for a quick and hearty lunch, sitting down to an upscale buffet, or simply some afternoon tea and coffee cakes by the fireplace.
The Collins Grill (801/ 799-2297), located mid-mountain on the second level of Watson Shelter offers sit down dining, serving lunch from 11:30am to 3pm. Watson Shelter (801/ 799-2296), located mid-mountain at the Germania lift, serves morning snacks and lunch in addition to providing a ski shop. Guests also can ski right up to Alf’s Restaurant (801/ 799-2295), located at the base of the Sugarloaf and Cecret lifts, for a quick lunch or snack. The Albion Grill (801/ 742-2500), located at the Albion Base, offers a cafeteria setting and serves breakfast, lunch and snacks.
The Rustler Dining Room at the Rustler Lodge (801/ 742-2200) offers excellent sit-down dining, overlooking the slopes at the front of the mountain. Reservations required for dinner. Chef Paul Raddon has been tantalizing the taste buds of Alta Lodge (801/ 742-3500) guests for more than 20 years with his hearty breakfast, lunch and dinner buffets and entrees. Reservations required for breakfast and dinner. Also located at the Alta Lodge just above the Deep Powder House is Joanies, serving sandwiches, appetizers and smoothies. Just across the street from the Alta Lodge is Shallow Shaft (801/ 742-2177) serving quality dinner by reservation. And the Eagle’s Nest Dining Room at Alta’s Snowpine Lodge (801/ 742-2000), also located on the main road near the Albion Base, offers dining by fireplace, making for a cozy meal.
